International Master of Arts - European StudiesToday's Europe is growing ever closer together, and contact with otherregions of the world is also constantly intensifying. This hasincreasingly presented global businesses as well as internationallyoperating institutions and administrative services with tasks thatdemand an awareness of the special aspects of this transnationalregion.The European Studies program, a continuing studies program in thesocial sciences, economics, and business at the University ofFlensburg, will qualify students to work in such an environment. Inaddition to knowledge of European economic institutions andintra-European relations, an awareness of the history and culturaldevelopment of both the continent as a whole and its regions iscrucial. Graduates will therefore be given the tools to work withinternational corporations with European ties, organizations withinternational tasks, and institutions developed to work acrossnational boundaries. This two-year program leads to an InternationalMaster of Arts in European Studies.The language of instruction is English, and the program is designedfor students from all around the world. For interested studentsespecially from Asia, studies begin with a pre-semester program inSummer 2006 (April - September) at the European Overseas Campus (EOC)in Bali, Indonesia. Studies will continue in Flensburg in WinterSemester 2006 - 07.
